About
Tim Wood worked at the Curwen Studio, Cambridge a printmaking Studio in the uk between 2007 - 2010. Working one-on-one and alongside Artists (e.g Antony Micalef, Colin Wilkin, Paula Rego, Mark Heald, Joe Winkelman and David Gentleman) and groups to create an original Print or reproduction. The Artists who continue to be influential to his practice are, Jane Human, Howard Hodgkin, Sandra Blow and Gary Hume.
Having graduated from Coventry School (Solihull) and Falmouth School of Art. Currently living and working in the South West of England and inspired by the Cornish coast, I explore the common theme of harbors, rivers. and coastline.
"Some of the Prints that I have produced are a combination of an offset lithography and mono-printing; I like to “play” with different shapes and lines with the ink. Often creating the occasionally happy accident is often how my prints come together and has enamel like quality to them. The subject matter and the use of colour are my emotional response to the way I see landscape of a particular place. The subject matter has become my own sense of myself in the landscape encapsulating a quite contemporary and complex landscape."
